the monorail network Justice City Station in Cairo / SHAKER Consultancy Group

This station is the last stop before the Control and Operations Center of the East Nile Monorail Project. It is located in Justice City within the New Administrative Capital.
The station consists of two floors:
• Ticket Hall Floor: Approximately 4,000 m² in area, it includes a pedestrian bridge that transfers passengers from street level to the ticket hall via escalators, regular stairs, and elevators (1 regular staircase – 2 escalators – 1 elevator). It houses the ticket office, as well as automated ticket vending machines (TVMs) that allow passengers to obtain tickets automatically using cash or credit cards. The ticket hall also contains (2 regular staircases – 2 escalators) connecting the hall level to the station platform for each direction.
• Platform Floor: Approximately 850 m² in area, equipped for the first time with Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) that open simultaneously with the train doors to protect passengers from falling onto the tracks.
The station is fully equipped for people of determination, including elevators and tactile paving for the visually impaired, ensuring safe movement from the street level all the way to the platform.

Sener is in charge of the design of the new monorail network in Cairo (Egypt). The project, which involves the development and construction of 96 kilometres of elevated track, 35 stations and two depots, will become the longest driverless monorail network in the world to date and the second longest overall.
In association with Shaker Consultancy Group, Sener is responsible for the design of the special bridges, the architecture and the structural and envelope design of the stations and depots, in addition to all systems assurance.
The project covers two lines. The “New Capital” will connect the new urban areas of New Cairo and the Administrative Capital and will have 22 stations and a 54-kilometre route. The “6th of October” line will be 42 kilometres long and have 13 stations, to provide service from the west of the Nile to Giza.
INNOVA has participated in the project, specifically in the development of the layout and the girder-rail, while Orascom, Arab Contractors and Alstom carry out the works as main contractors for the Egyptian National Tunnel Authority (NAT).
